When it comes to dressing up your eyelashes, there’s a lot of products out there that will drench your lashes in metallic color or literal glitter. You can even match them to red-bottomed Louboutins, if you wish to do so. But sometimes, nothing’s better than a simple, no-frills black formula. After all, the classics are classic for a reason, right?
World, meet Lash Slick, the newest launch from cult favorite brand Glossier. Since its launch in 2014, the brand has slowly, but surely taken over our entire makeup and skincare routines. (Raise your hand if you cleanse with Milky Jelly and wear Lidstar on the daily.) However, one makeup bag staple they had yet to create? Mascara. That is, until today.
According to a press release shared with Teen Vogue, Lash Slick has been in the works for over 18 months, and uses a combination of Japanese fiber technology and lifting film formers to coat lashes from root to tip, giving the effect of extensions – minus the struggle. (One of Japan’s most popular mascaras, Miaray Fiberwig, employs a similar “extensions” formula.) A baby lash comb brush ensures even, precise application of the glossy black formula.
